As a specialist nursing assistant with us, you will work in a care home specifically adapted for people with dementia in Västerås. Here, you will meet elderly individuals with a great need for care and support in their daily lives.

In our care homes, staff are available around the clock to create a safe and meaningful environment for the residents. The work involves providing individualized care, supporting the residents' independence, and contributing to a good quality of life.

Your Responsibilities

You will contribute your specialist expertise in dementia care and participate in creating safe and person-centered care for our residents. At the same time, you will take part in daily care work, such as assisting with personal care, meals, and activities. You will collaborate closely with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists and support colleagues on issues related to dementia and communication. Cooperation with relatives is a natural part of the job. You will also be a driving force in the BPSD work together with the team.

Your Qualifications

You are a trained specialist nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on dementia, and have experience in dementia care. You are confident in your professional role, pedagogical in your approach, and accustomed to collaborating with other professionals. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as knowledge of working with BPSD.
